Newly Certified Travel Grant Program
FOREA is pleased to announce a travel grant for newly certified orthoptists. This grant is sponsored by the AACO and is designed to support your attendance at the AACO National Meeting. Below are the eligibility criteria and requirements for applicants.

Eligibility and Requirements
Eligibility: Applicants must be newly certified orthoptists in the year they apply for the grant. Now accepting applications from those certifying in 2025.
Usage of Grant: The grant must be utilized to attend the AACO National Meeting within the year of certification or the following year. Grants awarded in 2025, must be used in 2025 or 2026.
Event Attendance: Recipients are required to use the grant specifically for travel to the AACO National Meeting. (No exceptions)
Volunteer Requirement: Recipients must attend the AACO National Meeting and the National Business Meeting, and volunteer to assist in meeting management. (i.e., moderate, volunteer at the registration desk, assist in meeting planning, present a paper or participate in a course, etc.,)
Proof of Attendance: Applicants must provide proof of registration and proof of attendance at the AACO National Meeting.
We encourage all eligible newly certified orthoptists to apply for this opportunity to enhance your professional development and network within the field. Please note that this is a one-time grant, applicable for a single attendance at the AACO National Meeting.
How to Apply
1. Complete the application and submit it to FOREA for review by October 1, 2025.
2. Upon approval, you will be awarded a $1,000 grant to attend the AACO National Meeting. The grant must be used for either the 2025 or 2026 National Meeting. Grants are distributed during the National Meeting.
